In Memory of Jordyn Da’Yana
The Jordyn Effect Inc.
On January 29, 2014, I lost my daughter Jordyn.
She was born in 2012. I had almost two years with her. And I was still serving in the United States Army when I lost her.
I kept showing up. In uniform. For others. Carrying something most people around me could not see.
Then I lost my father.
That grief sent me somewhere I had not planned. It sent me toward becoming a therapist. I built the clinical expertise. I sat with veterans, grieving parents, people who did not know how to ask for help. And I kept seeing the same thing. People carrying the heaviest things without access to support that actually fit their life.
The Jordyn Effect was built to close that gap.
Named for Jordyn. Not as a moment. As a movement.
— Dr. Arielle Jordan
WHY THIS EXISTS
You shouldn't have to break to deserve support.
Veterans and military families carry things the civilian world does not always have language for. Combat. Loss. The disorientation of leaving a life of service. The weight of coming home changed and being expected to just move on.
No pause. No space. No support that actually fits their life. So they push through.
And most of them do not know that tools already exist to help. Clinically validated. No appointment needed. No co-pay. No having to explain their entire service history to someone who has never worn a uniform.
That gap between what exists and what people know about is where lives are lost.
The Jordyn Effect exists to close it.

WHO WE SERVE

Veterans navigating life after service.

Military spouses and families carrying what comes home with their partner.

Gold star families holding the weight of loss.

First responders whose experiences intersect with the military community.

Clinicians, counselors, and organizations who serve veterans and their military families and want to do it better.
You do not have to have the same story as Jordyn or Dr. Jordan to belong here. You just have to be carrying something heavy and deserve support that actually fits your life.

Mission
To fund and deliver mental wellness education, healing experiences, and clinical training for veterans, military families, and underserved communities, lowering the cost, culture, and knowledge barriers that have gone unaddressed for too long.
Vision
A world where healing is not a privilege. Where every veteran and military family has access to tools that fit their life, providers who understand their culture, and a community that refuses to let them carry it alone.

WHAT WE DO
We don't just talk about healing.
We create access to it.
Real programs. Real people. Real change.
Bring AI and mental wellness education directly into veteran communities
Fund trauma therapy groups and healing retreat scholarships for veterans and military families
Train clinicians serving veterans in EMDR so veterans feel understood when they ask for help

Connect veterans and families to vetted resources and referrals
Why veterans cannot always access support?

COST
Therapy, retreats, and training are expensive and often not covered. We fund access so cost is never the reason someone does not heal.

CULTURE
Most mental health providers have no training in military culture. Veterans feel unseen. We train the people who serve them.

KNOWLEDGE
Clinically validated tools already exist to help veterans right now. Most veterans have never heard of them. We change that.
We remove three barriers that stand between veterans and the help they deserve.

FOUNDER
Built in honor.
Built forward.
Dr. Arielle Jordan served in the United States Army from 2008 to 2017. She lost her daughter Jordyn in 2014, while still in service, and her father shortly after.
Grief sent her somewhere she had not planned. It sent her toward becoming a therapist.
She has spent her career doing the thing the military does not always make easy. Asking for help. Understanding trauma. Creating space for others to do the same.
The Jordyn Effect is what Jordyn made possible. Not as a moment. As a movement.

WHAT'S BEING BUILT
Building with intention.
Mission Redefine has launched.
Our pilot reached 25 veterans in Frederick, Maryland. Our next event is April 23rd. We are scheduling cities. We are building the board. We are growing the scholarship fund.
We are not here to be loud. We are here to be effective.
GET INVOLVED
There are multiple ways to be part of this mission.
Whether you want to show up, give, or help build, there is a place for you here.
FOUNDING SUPPORT
We are inviting a group of early supporters to help take Mission Redefine national.
Not just donors. Builders.
People who understand that the most important moment to invest in a mission is before it goes national. When your support does not just fund a program, it makes the program possible.
If that is you, this is your moment.
