Nine years. Two losses. One mission.
She served in the Army from 2008 to 2017. She buried her daughter Jordyn in 2014, while still in uniform, and her father died the year after.
Dr. Arielle Jordan did not plan what came next. Those losses shaped the belief she now builds every session around: resilience is not what you reach for after the worst happens. It is the practice you were supposed to have been keeping all along.
She became a therapist, then a doctor of counselor education, then the founder of a nonprofit that provides resources and supportive services for veterans and military families.
She uses a therapy treatment called EMDR, which allows her to work with the part of a person that talking alone does not touch. Her years of training is why a room is able to stabilize when the conversation gets honest.
At the end of the day, does not perform recovery on stage, for show. Dr. Jordan shows up because this is her mission.

Inspired by the life and legacy of Jordyn Da'Yana, who was born into the battle of her life. During this time, Dr. Arielle and her family needed resources that did not exist or sat out of reach behind a waitlist, a copay or a form nobody had time to fill out.
The Jordyn Effect Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, closes that distance. It funds care for veterans and military families, and education for the clinicians who serve them. It never asks anyone to prove they are deserving.
Dr. Jordan founded the organization in 2024 and serves as its president.
